Overweight people are suffering from a host of health problems related to the excess pounds such as obesity, heart and gallbladder disease, high blood pressure and sleep apnea as well. According to experts, all of these problems can be avoided simply by controlling your weight, but managing a healthy weight is harder than it seems. Some diets may provide results, but some will fail, and most of them are highly dangerous for our health as well. However, there is one diet recommended by a European cardiologist which can lower your weight and keep your health in check.

Here’s the diet plan you should follow:

DAY #1

Lunch: an egg, an orange and 200 ml. of plain yogurt

Dinner: a few pieces of toast and boiled eggs, a bowl of lettuce, a few tomatoes and half a cucumber

DAY #2

Lunch: a cup of yogurt, an orange and a boiled egg

Dinner: 125 gr. of red meat, a cup of tea or coffee (no sugar), an orange and 1 toast.

DAY #3

Lunch: a boiled egg, an orange and a cucumber

Dinner: an orange, 125 gr. of red meat, 1 toast and a cup of tea or coffee (no sugar)

DAY #4

Lunch: an orange, 1 toast and 125 gr. cottage cheese

Dinner: same as day #3

DAY #5

Lunch: 200 gr. of cooked beef (or some other type of meat), a tomato and a piece of toast

Dinner: 500 gr. of cooked potatoes, carrots and peas

For breakfast, you should eat a piece of any fruit except bananas. Follow the diet for 5 days, then take a 2-day pause and repeat the process again. Remember – you should not use salt on your vegetables, and you shouldn’t eat plain bread or drink alcohol. Before starting the diet, consult with a doctor who can tell if it’s safe for you.
